I am a huge fan of comfy sweaters- especially ones with cute designs and prints! I'm so excited to be able to wear them for Fall. Can you imagine it? Curled up cozy and warm in your soft, long sweater while it rains outside, and you're reading your favorite book while sipping hot cocoa....ahhh sweet bliss.

TRAVEL TUESDAYS: PACKING TIPS

I've traveled enough in my life to not remember how many times I've travelled. So today, I wanted to share some tips on packing....

1/ Roll your clothing. Tightly roll any clothing piece (with the exception of evening wear/dress suits). This gives you extra packing space and minimizes wrinkles.

2/ Fill up your suitcase.  Fill up your suitcase so that it is full, but not overstuffed. Lots of empty space can cause creasing in some of your clothes. I like to put a towel on the very top.

3/ Always label your bags. Be sure to have a label/marker that sets your bag apart. Getting your luggage lost is something no one should have to go through.

4/ Tissue paper. Place tissue paper between shirts and knitwear to keep your clothes in best shape.

5/ Buy some small containers for beauty products from home. Here are some.

6/ Lay anything made of silk flat on the bottom of your suitcase (one on top of the other).

7/ Make a list of things you should bring ahead of time. I like to put things under categories (ex. Technology, Beauty & Toiletries, Clothes, Accessories, Shoes).

8/ Wear a scarf for when you fly. They can double as blankets!

9/ Plan outfits ahead of time, so you don't end up with more than you need.

10/ Be prepared and check the weather report for your destination. I do this every single time I travel.

11/ Pick a color palette. I mostly like to pack neutral colors (think: black, grey, beige, taupe, and white) with very few colorful pieces for an unexpected pop of color.

12/ Layer, layer, layer. This is not only useful for your outfit during the time of travel, but also to come prepared for any sudden weather changes/plans.

13/ Pack efficiently. Fill any bags or clutches with accessories/beauty products/toiletries, so it doubles as travel storage.

14/ Bring extra plastic bags to store any dirty clothes, new souvenirs, or wet swimwear.

15/ Believe it or not, but packing can be stressful. Have your luggage ready a few days before you travel and start to pack, gradually adding any new outfits, accessories, and shoes.

PROFESSIONAL CHIC

Professional Chic

Professional Chic by theenglishbreakfast featuring slim fit jeans

A lot of people debate what they should wear to a job interview. In my professional opinion, (just kidding) , I think it's best to go with a blazer but a colorful one to show you have creativityTo show personality, go with a statement necklace or stylish leather handbag. For shoes, I'd say go with pumps but ones with short heels to show you're professional. Of course, all of this depends on the type of job you are applying for! This seems to be one of the more flexible outfits.

P.S. Love the online store, Lulu*s? There's a $50 shop credit giveaway going on right here!

Have a great weekend!

FASHION FRIDAY: MIXED PRINTS

fashion friday: mixed prints

Mixed prints are one of my favorite trends this season. However, it can be tough to pull off. I think the secret is finding something in one print that is common to the other. For example, the gingham shirt and the polka dot denim share the color white, making them cohesive. Another trick is to keep the accessories to a minimum.
