TRAVEL TUESDAYS- THE NETHERLANDS

My home country. Well, half-home country. And despite the rain, yucky weather, and pigeons, this country is beautiful and I always enjoy visiting.

Via

Some things The Netherlands are famous for are windmills, cheese and tulips. They have entire fields full of different colored tulips. It's kind of like extreme color-blocking....

If you have breakfast in The Netherlands, go to a Pannekoeken Huis! Or Pancake House. I usually eat them with stroop (syrup), brown sugar, and powdered sugar. More of a dessert really, but what the heck.

Via

Also try the poffertjes!!!!!

Via

In Amsterdam, be sure to drop by...
Dam Square. It is full of artists, mimes, and pigeons (of course.)

Via

Take a boat along the canals and see Anne Frank's secret house.

Via

Here, people bike more than they drive so don't forget to take your own bike for a cruise along the canals...

Via

Visit the Van Gogh museum!

Via

Or The NEMO Museum! Yes, it is on a boat. No, it has nothing to do with clown-fish.

Via

Stop by Giethoorn, one of the most peaceful towns on Earth due to its lack of roads.

Well, dag! (bye!)
